Very pleasant weather, even allowing for lower temperature at Castells
19 of us on today’s walk
Three years since we last did this walk
Another casualty of covid restrictions
The track was overgrown in parts
So we were surprised to have to give way to a car!
Terry found this little fellow who created a lot of interest
Mind we are easily pleased in the Monday Ramblers
The views however have not changed at all
And our banana stop was a good opportunity for a group photo
David and Lynn looking happier than they should after the climb
For this first part of the walk there was no sign of other walkers
But that all changed as we neared the Arch
I was not aware that it was a national holiday
I didn’t expect so many family groups walking to the arch
Fortunately it was quiet when as we approached the arch itself
So there was plenty of opportunity for photographs
Thanks to Richard for this one
And to everyone else whose photos add variety to the blog
Because we were half an hour late
The return journey is all downhill
And includes some of the best scenery
But best of all was the bar at the end
Temperature – 17-24c
Time taken – 6 hours
Distance – 14 km
Total Ascent – 450 metres
