10 January 2022 – Pinos Fossil Walk

13 of us for the first walk of the New Year

This included two new members, Lesley and Pia

We should have done this walk last week

But it was cancelled due to a covid outbreak in a Jalon

Two of our members visited the bar with another walking group

Apparently most of the group were infected

This included one of our members

So we thought it best to take a short break

We have also decided to stop the after walk bar visit for a while

We had a surprise when we discovered this new wall

There is a large white building in the middle of the walk

For some years they have been expanding

Last year we had to find a detour as they had blocked the path

They have now extended the wall and blocked our detour path

Fortunately the wall is not yet complete and we could walk around it

I will have to find a different alternative route before we do this walk again

Our two friends were pleased to see us again, or at least to receive our apple

Despite the detour we finished the walk at the anticipated time

Lovely walk, and a good start to 2022
