The forecast was a high of 21c, but we needed jackets at start of walk
However by the time we reached the first water stop jackets were removed
Jan’s first walk in since December due to illness
We should have had 16, but only 13 walked
Of those that did there were a lot of happy faces to reach the top and banana break
We have had a lot of trouble with illness this year
Two walks cancelled due to covid 19 positive tests
So it was great to be out walking again
Particularly to do this favourite walk
And on a lovely warm day with a cool breeze
For most of the group this was the first time they did this walk
And I think they were just as impressed as we were first time we did it
There was major trimming in the woods on the way down
But we were allowed through with no problem
It appears they are building up the path with the cut wood
We also noticed a lot of new track markings we had not seen before
This is a very popular walk and it is good it will be more easily accessible
It took us a little longer to complete than usual
Partly because we had longer breaks to enjoy the sun and views
Partly because a few needed a slower pace
But everyone enjoyed the walk, which is the important thing
We have suspended the end of walk bar visit
This is because of the high incidence of covid 19 here in Spain
We felt it was necessary, but we did miss the chat in the bar at the end
Time taken – 5.5 hours
Distance – 9 km
Total ascent – 370 metres
Temperature – 10-21c
