Lovely sunny morning for our annual walk
A sunny day is really important to see the blossom at its best
We had a good turnout of 14 for the walk
Should have been 16, but two cancelled
What a change from last year when we had to walk alone due to covid restrictions
It was also nice to have Jan walking regularly with the group again
There seems to be fewer blossoms than usual this year
And quite a few trees were turning green
We know from experience the best place to see the blossom
So we managed to get quite a few photo opportunities
Including some old favourites, such as this one of Parcent
This group was more interested in taking photos than in previous years
But that didn’t stop the normal animated conversation
As usual we had our picnic at the Alcalali mirador
Unfortunately it is not possible to sit on the new wall
But that did not stop Barry making himself comfortable
Despite the recent rain the river was low enough to cross
And after a chilly start we were in shirtsleeves by midday
The valley was busy, but not our almond blossom detour
And here there were plenty of blossoms for another photo stop
It was hard to reduce the 85 photos I took to just 22 for the blog
A cold drink in Parcent cooperativa was a fitting end to a lovely day
Time taken – 5 hours
Distance – 13 km
Temperature – 12-17c
